Behind the Korean economic miracle of achieving $100 million exports sales in just 24 years, there existed export-oriented economic policies implemented by the government as well as blood, sweat, and tears of the country. Specifically, Export Promotion Meeting was at the front of governments policy framework for the export policy enforcement. We will examine the process of how Korea achieved its remarkable economic growth by focusing on the governments export policy. Furthermore, the course will share the role, success factors, and implications of the Export Promotion Meeting which performed a key role during the process.
